Shotblasting is very close to sandblasting and yields a somewhat speckled quality on the surface of the paver, whilst maintaining it’s durability and natural qualities. An obvious choice for both contemporary and classic patios. Shotblasting involves a procedure where the outcome of which results in the paving boasting a nice and even surface with a texture that greatly reduces the risk of slipping or sliding on these stone. Kandla Grey, Mint Fossil and Raj Green are all available in the shotblasted format. Shotblasting is also a great way to finesse the finish of the surface of a paving slab, where it can help to even out blemishes and tone down unwanted natural variations within the stone.
Similar to sandblasted paving, the texture formed as a result of the treatment is far less slippery than other kinds of treated paving, this is important if your garden is frequented kids or those of limited sight or balance. Shotblasted stone offers a more opaque atheistic to honed due to the finish being less glossy.
